Iranian state media reported that their air defense systems successfully downed three Israeli F-35 fighter jets. They also stated that one of the pilots was captured after ejecting from their aircraft.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have dismissed these claims as “fabricated”.
Independent sources have not confirmed Iran’s claims, and some international observers are skeptical.
Some analysts suggest Iran may be using these claims as a form of psychological warfare or to boost domestic morale.

Israel sent 200 planes on the first attack and similar numbers on subsequent attacks.
