In 2006 a man entered an Amish school and took the young girls, 6-13, hostage. He sent away the boys and older girls. When the police arrived he started shooting the girls in the head, killing five, wounding five more (one of those died later) before killing himself.

The survivors were rushed to hospitals in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, the local hospital didn’t have the experience of handling such wounds and so did what they could and sent the kids on. As you can imagine this was all terrible for the families and collections were started to help pay for the expenses to get the families where they needed to be.

At about 10:00 PM they paused taking donations. Why? Because the Amish wouldn’t take the money unless the family of the murderer received some help. People who were donating to help the Amish families had to be notified that the widow and children of the man who had murdered the Amish children.

The murderer was buried in an Amish cemetery, no one else would take him. The widow and her children moved away with Amish help, although she moved back a decade later.

Can you imagine believing in doing what’s right even in the face of such terrible evil?

You can’t figure that out? They stay in their lane. They’re not in politics trying to force their bullshit on other people through the government. It’s as simple as that.

The Evangelicals and Catholics both tend to see our shared government as a valid place to advance their religious values, though Evangelicals are far worse and more blatant. Catholics tend to be, with some exception… some of the right wing conservative Catholics are as fucking awful and treasonous as evangelicals… but they tend to be more chill… like they don’t work to make this a Catholic nation.

The evangelicals, when they talk about forcing this to be a “Christian nation”, they don’t mean Catholics. They’ll say that now to win elections, but if you’ve ever spent time with evangelicals and heard their real thoughts on the Catholic Church… she’s the Great Whore, and every new Pope might be duh anti-Christ… they don’t see Catholics as Christians when you get down to it. They’re just useful allies for now as they advance their un-American agenda. They don’t mean any Liberal Christians. They mean themselves and like minded Christians only. That’s what they REALLY mean by “Christian nation”. That’s code for them taking over and forcing the advancement of their religious agenda into the cause of our shared government. If they were to ever get that power, they would target the Catholics.

The Amish don’t do that. They want to live that way, they live that way. They have their values, and they spend their lives trying to live by them. Evangelicals espouse values that they want to spend their time trying to get the government to force other people to live by, while secretly they’re child molestors, people who cover for child molestors, embezzlers, adulterers, scam artists, murderers, etc… They’re awful fucking people. They’re tyrants, foot soldiers in the cause of Tyranny, sworn enemies of the cause of Liberty.

The only thing that stops them from living lives of truth, is that they’re liars.
The only thing that stops them from being faithful to their spouses, is that they’re adulterers.
The only thing that stops them from following Christ in any real way, is they don’t give a fuck about following Christ in any real way.

The vast majority of liberals, regardless of what pathologically lying right wingers say, don’t have any problem at all with anyone who wants to live by conservative values in their lives. I generally do, in the SF Bay Area, and nobody finds fault with me for not being gay, or not being a POC, or having only one wife, and having a “traditional” family… all that shit is straight up lies spread by the lying ass right.

If all Evangelicals wanted, was to just live their faith, they would, they already have that freedom. They make up bullshit and pretend that they’re oppressed, when they’re denied the opportunity to oppress others. They make themselves out to be victims in that scenario. It’s fucking pathetic.
